RoadTrip
A SwiftUI iOS app that builds multiday itineraries from GPT-4, Google Maps, and Booking.com, with offline storage for unreliable networks.
The problem
Vacation planning spreads across maps, lodging, and a chat window. I wanted one app that could assemble a trip and still work when the network dropped.
What I did
The app orchestrates GPT-4, Google Maps, and Booking.com APIs to generate multiday itineraries. CoreLocation and CoreData keep the plan on device. Networking retries, respects rate limits, and caches so a flaky connection does not wipe the day.
How it works
SwiftUI drives the UI. GPT-4 drafts the itinerary. Maps and Booking.com fill in places and stays. CoreData stores the trip for offline use. Retries and caching sit in the network layer rather than in each screen.
What happened
RoadTrip shipped as an iOS app that can plan a trip and keep it readable without a perfect signal. This page is a stub. I will write the full case study later.
